On this day in 1998 Frank Sinatra died in Los Angeles (Sinai Medical Center), California (b. in Hoboken, New Jersey on December 12, 1915). He received numerous awards for his career as singer and actor. Considered as one of the most important, popular and influential musical figures of the 20th century, he has sold over 250 million records worldwide.
