Percy Bysshe Shelley - Love´s Philosophy

The fountains mingle with the river
And the rivers with the ocean,
The winds of Heaven mix for ever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single,
All things by a law divine
In one spirit meet and mingle -
Why not I with thine?

See the mountains kiss high Heaven
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister-flower would be forgiven
If it disdained its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonbeams kiss the sea -
What are all these kissings worth
If thou kiss not me?

A FILOSOFIA DO AMOR

Correm as fontes ao rio
os rios correm ao mar
num enlace fugidio
prendem-se as brisas no ar…
Nada no mundo é sozinho:
por sublime lei do Céu,
tudo frui outro carinho…
Não hei-de alcançá-lo eu?

Olha os montes adorando
o vasto azul, olha as vagas
uma a outra se osculando
todas abraçando as fragas…
Vivos, rútilos desejos,
no sol ardente os verás:
-Que me fazem tantos beijos,
se tu a mim mos não dás?
