Jan. 28 - 54th World Leprosy Day

We must be ashamed for permit this disease to reach still a great number of people. You may have the idea that it is a disease of the past but Asia, South America and Africa are still seriously hit for this disease. Almost 300.000 new cases are detected last year! In India alone, leprosy disables 100 times more people than polio each year. But the Hansen's Disease is curable. So... let's done that.

World Leprosy Day takes place on the last weekend in January each year, to raise public awareness of leprosy and to encourage fundraising.
