Stanwyck starred in almost a hundred films during her career and received four nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actress: Stella Dallas (1937), Ball of Fire (1941), Double Indemnity (1944), and Sorry, Wrong Number (1948). In her best films (such as The Lady Eve) she often mixed a worldly toughness (a husky voice, an earthy sense of humor) with heartbreaking vulnerability, particularly in her early Pre-Code films.

Film and theatre actress, Audrey Hepburn was one of the leading Hollywood actresses during the 1950s and 1960s. She won an Academy Award for her paper as Princess Ann in Roman Holiday (1953) and received four more Academy Award nominations, including one for her iconic performance as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961). In 1964, she played Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, the critically acclaimed film adaptation of the play. In the 1970s and 1980s Audrey Hepburn starred in few films and instead devoted her time to her children. From 1988 until her death in 1993, she served as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her work.
