Figo : "Não sou pai de ninguém..."

Figo enquanto capitão de equipa e questionado sobre o comportamento (repetidamente indisciplinado e a merecer expulsão) de Cristiano Ronaldo, respondeu que «Não penso que esteja de cabeça perdida. São situações do jogo que tem de melhorar, mas não sou pai de ninguém para dizer o que deve fazer. Ele sabe perfeitamente as responsabilidades que tem na equipa».

Constando que Figo tem três filhas, concluo que não fica bem dizer "não sou pai de ninguém" . Se não fosse a boa exibição de Figo na segunda parte do jogo diria que quem está de cabeça perdida é ele!

Portugal vence ... mas não convence

Luxemburgo 0 - 3 Portugal

Figo e Simão fizeram os golos só na segunda parte

Os jogos de preparação servem para preparar. Por isso não podemos ser (já) muito exigentes. A verdade, porém, é que parece que Portugal não aprendeu com o jogo de Cabo Verde e cometeu erros recorrentes

Na primeira parte deste jogo o guarda-redes do Luxemburgo foi um espectador. A maior (única?) oportunidade do primeiro tempo pertenceu ao Luxemburgo quando um jogador à entrada da área ! fez de cabeça um chapéu a Ricardo (adiantado) com a bola a bater na barra!

Vejamos os erros recorrentes:

i ) Portugal não pressionou e até o Luxemburgo (tal como acontecera com Cabo Verde) chegou com perigo à baliza de Portugal

ii) Tal como com Cabo Verde Cristiano Ronaldo reagiu mal a uma falta de um adversário e se há uma semana pregou um pontapé, hoje foi ao pescoço doi adversário numa atitude que só pode valer cartão vermelho! Afinal as desculpas constantes de Cristiano Ronaldo começam a parecer ridículas. Ponham o homem em ordem ou estamos a ver Portugal a jogar com dez como sucedeu no ultimo Mundial

iii) Também a constituição do onze inicial (praticamente igual ao jogo de Cabo Verde) não convence. Pauleta sozinho na área sem um segundo avançado a entrar de trás para a frente na área deu em 1 remate à baliza e alguns (poucos) ao lado

No início da segunda parte tivemos logo Postiga (em vez de Pauleta), Petit (em vez de Costinha) e Simão (em vez de Deco). Em menos de um minuto Portugal marcou com decisiva influencia de dois dos très jogadores recém-entrados: remate à entrada da área forte de Hélder Postiga com o guarda-redes a fazer uma defesa difícil mas incompleta e Simão Sabrosa a aparecer bem posicionado para marcar de cabeça na recarga.

Finalmente Portugal jogava, rematava e criava oportunidades perante um Luxemburgo que só queria fazer passar o tempo, havendo períodos em que o anti-jogo foi patente. Jogadores no chão, os livres a demorarem uma eternidade a ser marcados, etc.

O 0-2 esteve iminente em várias ocasiões em que a falta de discernimento na conclusão (Cristiano Ronaldo acerta com a bola no único defesa que podia evitar o golo) ou a sorte e capacidade do guarda-redes do Luxemburgo (grande defesa a remate de longe de Maniche) ia adiando.

Figo começa-se a destacar na entrada na área pela meia-esquerda e numa dessas incursões, já após terem ocorrido mais três substituições em Portugal (Ricardo Costa no lugar de F. Meira, Tiago em vez de Maniche e Hugo Viana em vez de Cristiano Ronaldo), adianta a bola (que nunca mais poderia alcançar) mas um adversário entra nas pernas e derruba-o. Penalty indiscutível (mas escusado) que Simão converteu no 2º. golo português aos 73'. Aos 84' numa jogada com semelhanças Figo desta vez leva o lance até final e concretiza o 0-3.

Em suma má primeira parte e razoável-boa segunda parte de Portugal, mas não esqueçamos que há uma semana este Luxemburgo apanhou sete da Alemanha!

O árbitro (que teve a curiosidade de ter como um dos assistentes uma mulher) foi suficientemente permissivo para não expulsar ninguém e condescendeu também demasiado na perda de tempo (não compensada nos descontos

Portugal joga amanhã com o Luxemburgo

Portugal já a atravessar a fase final de preparação para o Mundial da Alemanha joga amanhã em França contra a selecção do Luxemburgo. Não se percebe o critério de escolha destas selecções com que Portugal se defronta. Enquanto que os nossos adversários preparam-se com jogos entre equipas fortes ou médias (vg. México-Holanda, Itália-Ucrania) Portugal, talvez para demonstrar que somos mesmo bons, defrontou Cabo Verde e agora Luxemburgo!

Só para registo diga-se que vai ser o 11º. jogo entre Portugal e Luxemburgo e que nos dez jogos anteriores Portugal ganhou nove, tendo um empate 1-1 num jogo particular disputado em 12-10-1991 no Luxemburgo e uma derrota (é verdade !). Pois essa derrota foi no apuramento para um Mundial e perdemos por 2-4. O incrível é que até jogava o Eusébio que marcou um dos golos o outro foi por Yaúca. Essa derrota foi averbada em 8 de Out 1961, quando uns poucos meses antes (em 19.Mar.1961) para o mesmo apuramenteo havíamos goleado em Lisboa por 6-0.

De resto o score de golos é de 31-6 e não sofremos nenhum golo desde o tal empate a 1-1. Depois disso 3-0 em 1964 em Águeda em jogo particular, e 5-0 e 6-0 na recente qualificação para este Mundial, no Luxemburgo em 2004 e em casa em 03 de Agosto de 2005. 6-0 é mesmo o resultado mais volumoso obtido nas duas vezes já indicadas: curiosamente no primeiro jogo e no último jogo com que defrontámos os luxemburgueses.

É caso para dizer que menos do que 5 significará que Portugal ainda não terá as "coisas" afinadas!
