Russians are commemorating their first qualification to semi-Finals of European Championship in football. Pavlyuchenko, Arshavin & Company were better than Sneijder, Van Nistelrooy and their colleagues of Dutch team and deserved to get this advanced phase of the competition, waiting now for Spain or Italy.

After so many chances to score the second goal Russians suffered a late equalizer goal scored by Nistelrooy less than 5 minutes to the final. However, at extra-time Russian players showed better athletic conditions and solved the question with two more goals. This was the match of the Quarters (of the three already played) where a team was much superior to the other and surprinsingly that team was Russia.
